The Proposal
Brendan Cunningham and Tia Jones found a bright side to social distancing during the pandemic, meeting each other over Instagram interactions. They were engaged at Asbury Park in New Jersey after just two months of dating.
The Big Day
The couple chose an auspicious day for their wedding, the birthday of both Brendan’s mother and Tia’s late father as well as being Memorial Day to honor her father’s career in the USAF. A sweet first look with Tia’s 12-year-old son, Battle, set him up to walk her down the aisle, where he was the one to give her away. Celebrity officiant Reverend Roxy led a ceremony full of laughter and tears, and “Taps” played in memory of Tia’s father ensured there wasn’t a dry eye in sight.
As a stylist in the industry for 13 years, it was Tia’s turn in the spotlight, enlisting her favorite vendors to celebrate her own love story!
