Jim Thorpe’s Independent Film Festival

Celebrate Jim Thorpe’s fourth annual Independent Film Festival this Thursday through Sunday. The festival welcomes the boldest, most defiant filmmakers to present their work, shatter convention and incite spirited debate. Held at the Mauch Chunk Opera House, all 90 screenings will be live and in-person! There will also be a limo-bus to transport festival-goers from the Opera House to the Stabin Museum each night. Virtual Vegan Cooking Class

Seasons of Bethlehem and Butterhead Kitchen are hosting a virtual vegan cooking event this Friday at 6:30 p.m. Attendees can follow along from the comfort of their own homes to create a few decadent recipes using Seasons’ products! Brick Easton at SmARTivities

Celebrate the opening night of Brick Easton with the Big Easy Easton Brass on Friday! Brick Easton is the latest Easton-themed creation by Big Easy Easton Brass’s founder, Jeremy Joseph. The model features various Easton locations and people out of LEGOs, including Easton’s Centre Square, Two Rivers Brewing, Easton Baking Co, the Bank Street Creamery and more. The event will be held at SmARTivities Showcase, a creative center for the arts, at 7 p.m.

Lehigh Valley Fashion Week

Lehigh Valley Fashion Week returns for season six with three days of action-packed shows and ticketed events. Partake in a red carpet, networking and fashion show on Friday, an international pop-up shop and fashion show on Saturday and a 40-plus Goddess Showcase on Sunday. This year’s events will be hosted by well-known local personalities and will take place at Venture X, LFVW Studios and ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks. A portion of Lehigh Valley Fashion Week’s proceeds will benefit Housing With Hope, which focuses on fulfilling the needs of the elderly and families facing homelessness.

Wine and Nature Weekend at Sorrenti

Head to Sorrenti Family Estate Winery, Distillery & Pizzeria this weekend for an Earth Day special! On Saturday, a nature walk kicks off at 1 p.m. from the trailhead of the Cherry Valley Wildlife Refuge. Each guest will receive a voucher for a free glass of wine that can be redeemed after the walk. Rose Planting at BRG 

Join the Lehigh Valley Rose Society in updating the Bethlehem Rose Garden this Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Volunteers can help transplant, re-plant and fertilize the new and existing roses in the garden.
