If you had to refer a family member or friend to another dentist, whom among your colleagues would you recommend?
This is the question that was posed to area dentists to determine who deserves the distinction of Select Dentist™ status. Dentists and specialists were asked to consider patient experience and their results, as well as continuing education, years in practice and the use of new technologies and techniques by the dentist.
Nominees consisted of dentists who are listed online as members of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association and the Lehigh Valley Dental Association, allowing virtually every area dentist in the region the opportunity to participate. Dentists were asked to evaluate practitioners with whose work they were familiar. For 2019, the Select Dentists™ survey was conducted by the Harrisburg-based FieldGoals.US, a Certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBENC) providing superior qualitative and quantitative research services for a wide variety of businesses and entities, both in Central Pennsylvania and throughout the United States. Their team of academics—including moderators, interviewers, survey designers and recruiters—excels at full-service, impactful research initiatives. Once the list of nominees was finalized, those being honored as SelectDentists™ were checked against state dental boards for disciplinary actions to make sure that they remained in good standing. The honorees were then contacted to verify the information listed.
Naturally, there are many outstanding dentists who are not included in this listing, which is based on the judgments of their fellow dentists as a peer review. Although the listing may be biased to well-marketed, popular practices, we feel confident that the research methodology corrects for any biases. We feel the SelectDentists™ program is an outstanding directory of highly regarded dentists in the Lehigh Valley.
