The Proposal
The Proposal Kristina Rosario and Elias Maalouf met the summer before college during a night out with friends, quickly becoming close. On a trip to Mexico together years later, Elias staged a massive marquee letter display strewn with rose petals to pop the question. Kristina caught the hint when she saw him take a knee.
The Big Day
After preparing at home for their wedding at St. George Church, the couple’s reception was rich with traditions from Elias’s Syrian and Lebanese roots, from the Zaffe grand entrance procession played in by a live band to a spread including both taco bar and grape leaves, and finally, an exuberant Dabke folk dance. Behind the sweetheart table a custom-made floral arch and neon sign focused attention front and center even as a mix of Spanish and Arabic music kept the dance floor packed all night. Late afternoon rain and thunder did nothing to dampen this perfect day.
