The Find It Friday series features our top five favorite finds of the week, ranging from dining & food news and people doing cool things to events and new businesses in and around the Lehigh Valley. Essentially, if it’s cool and we found it, we’re telling you about it.
This week, our Find It Friday series features black sesame and pumpkin spice soft serve, a 12-foot skeleton crawl, a chocolate malt ball Frankenstein shake, a Hallow’s Eve Soiree and a Mischief Night drive-in feature.

Top Food, Drink and Experiences in the Lehigh Valley This Week
1. Black Sesame and Pumpkin Spice Soft Serve
We’re never truly sure how Vegan Treats consistently comes up with some of the most unique and impeccably creative desserts we’ve ever seen, but yet here they are stunning us once again. Halloween is their time to shine and if you haven’t checked out their festive cakes or ice cream creations yet, we suggest you do. From eyeball and brain sundaes to spooky cakes and chocolates, they’re the ultimate addition to your Halloween extravaganza. We couldn’t be more intrigued by this Halloween weekend special of black sesame and pumpkin “guts” soft serve and are eager to check it out—even if only for the photo experience.
2. 12-Foot Skeleton Crawl
If you’ve been following the skeleton debacle of 2021, you know the Lehigh Valley has opinions about oversized skeletons. Opinions aside, this is the weekend to enjoy all said displays in their glory and what better way than by following Lehigh Valley with Love’s 12-Foot Skeleton Crawl. It’s hard to believe there’s more than one in the Valley, but LV With Love was able to round up 20-plus skeletons on their map from Bangor to Emmaus. If you’re looking for a non-traditional way to enjoy Halloween this year, hop in your car and take a drive throughout the Valley to see who has the most unique display—we’ve heard some things.
3. Chocolate Malt Ball Frankenstein Shake
We love a good themed treat (see Vegan Treats’ soft serve above) and couldn’t resist the opportunity to share what VegOut has on their menu for Halloween weekend. The team is bringing back their Chocolate Malt Ball Frankenstein shake and promises it to be even better than before. Available all Halloweekend, why not do a dessert crawl and stop at Vegan Treats on the way? They are both in NorthSide Bethlehem after all…
4. Cellar Beast Hallow’s Eve Soiree
A brand-new cider and wine house in the Andreas area is going all out at their first Halloween Party tomorrow night, Saturday, October 30. You can expect live music, smash burgers with Studio Kitchen food truck from 4–8 p.m., a costume contest raffle, spooky drink specials from Gallows Hill Spirits and bonfires (weather permitting). Sure to be a great time and the perfect excuse to check out this new winery.
5. Mischief Night Drive-In Feature
Mahoning Drive-In Theater is offering a double feature this mischief night with both films being presented on 35mm with vintage horror trailers. First up is Alfred Hitchcock’s PSYCHO followed by Halloween II with films starting at 7:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to enjoy themed eats, music, photo ops, trunk or treat and to participate in their annual costume contest. Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased here.
