Top Food, Shopping and Experiences in the Lehigh Valley This Week

1.  Custom Birkenstocks

With around only 30 pairs available, you’re going to have to hurry to grab these one-of-kind sandals debuting later this spring. Local artist Roey Ebert is collaborating with Birkenstocks to feature her art on the leather of these custom sandals. These bright and colorful shoes are exactly what we all need to step into spring, so if you’re interested message her to get on the list ASAP!

2. Ye Olde Run Club

We love to find things before they’re actual things and this is currently the case with Ye Olde Run Club. Boasting themselves as a solid two members strong, Ye Olde Run Club was established about a month ago by Dylan Schuler (Coach Dyl) whom recently moved to the Valley from LA and was missing his West Coast running community. Their current effort is to start gathering interest in those who’d like to join in on group runs in a not so socially distant future, so give them a follow and enjoy all of Coach Dyl’s good vibes and make a plan for those spring runs to come.

3. Girl Power Macarons

We’re no strangers to Modern Bakery’s out-of-this-world macarons, so we were pumped when we noticed they debuted a special Girl Power Macaron box for March (Women’s History Month) featuring six different flavors including lemon, fruity cereal, cookies and cream, cotton candy, cake batter and marshmallow. This is particularly exciting as they typically only create orders of 12 per flavor, so this is your opportunity to really get a sampling of what they offer. This limited-time-only box can be purchased for $25 on their website and is available for pickup March 4 through March 6, so hurry and get your order in so you can try all of this dessert goodness.

4. Brown Bagged Beer

We love to see the new ideas that Lafayette Bar comes up with and we stumbled upon this one most recently, the mystery brown bagged beer. For only $3 you roll the dice and grab a brown bagged beer seltzer. The beers are totally random, comes wrapped in a brown bag so you don’t know what you’re getting, and the catch is, there’s no take backs. We’re all about fun and games so this sounds like a really cheap and unique way to try new beers on your next night out!

5. Tracy L. Days

Another thing we love is a good fashion IG to follow and that’s where Tracy L. Days comes in. She’s constantly inspiring us with her designer pieces styled with vintage and thrift finds. She’s also a closet editor and organizer so her perfectly put together shelves of handbags and shoes has us wanting to run and style everything we’ve got. She often gives advice over on her blog about paying full price, jean organization, closet clean outs and more—you can read them here. Her main mission is to assist women by editing and organizing their closets in a way that will enhance self-confidence, and we’re ALL for that!
