Faces of the Valley: The Face of Technology Infrastructure

Kevin Dellicker was working for a technology company when he had an idea to help schools bridge the “digital divide.” He pitched it to his boss, but it wasn’t a good fit. So he and his wife, Susan, took matters in their own hands and started Dellicker Strategies in the basement of their home. It was a simple idea, says Kevin. “If schools would cooperate on major technology purchases, they could enhance their capabilities while reducing their costs.”

That was 2005, and Dellicker Strategies has since led $275 million in technology infrastructure upgrades connecting 2,000 locations. “We’ve helped 630 school districts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey improve their broadband access, including 39 schools in the Lehigh Valley,” Kevin says. They also helped launch Pennsylvania’s largest online learning consortium, and by 2017 introduced 100 schools to hybrid learning, years before its widespread adoption.

Dellicker Strategies today helps many kinds of organizations bridge the digital divide, and their offerings have expanded to include cybersecurity and project management services. “We want to make sure all people can access technology for work, learning and living,” says Kevin, “wherever they may be.”
