4. What kind of fitness classes can I take?
We have three different fitness centers offering a variety of 30-minute classes (on the third floor of the Renaissance) that are introductory in nature—you can take one or you can take them all. You won’t need any equipment, just an open mind to try something new.
Forward Thinking Fitness
Burn: The ultimate workout approach to fat loss. Most females miss the strength training aspect of working out, and most men fail to incorporate cardio. Burn fixes both of these missing links by featuring a systematic mix of cardiovascular and resistance training that is sure to be a challenge to any fitness level. Burn up to 1000 calories per training session (measured through their heart rate monitor system). That’s not all… benefit from a higher metabolic rate for 36 hours after the session is over!
Mobility or Functional Yoga: A series of soft tissue mobilization, stretching, and techniques designed to help you move better. This format is meant to increase joint mobility, decrease inflammation, and help you feel better than you ever have before! It’s an excellent format to complement functional training for faster recovery between sessions.
Gym Guyz
SweatRed Interval Training: Introduction to GYMGUYZ creative training methods.
Liven Up
Afterburn: This session is based off of the seven movements of strength, but with variations. A coach will guide you through these challenging sessions; you will receive motivation, support– and team work through this experience. Just like the names states, you’ll be burnin’ calories 24-48 hours after our workout!
5. What about the informational sessions? Is there a schedule?
These will be happening on the third floor of the Renaissance–next door to the fitness classes– and you can attend as many as you would like.
6. What kind of good-for-you treats will be provided?
You’ll have to attend to see what we whip up, but we can tell you that the Renaissance Allentown is putting together a delicious smoothie station of healthy options. Here’s what’s on the menu:
- The 5th Street
- Kale, apple, spinach, pineapple, mango
- BB King
- Blueberry, blackberry, cilantro and non-fat yogurt
- Red Velvet
- Strawberries, cranberry, mango, lemon grass and basil
7. What else is there to do at the event?
St. Luke’s will be on-site offering plenty of complimentary services & screenings—get your tickets to find out what kind.
You may even get the opportunity to be featured on The Peak TV.
Oh, and we can’t forget countless selfies in front of our floral photo station!
AND did we mention swag from Whole Foods? Because there’s that, too.
8. What is the attire?
You know the days you don’t want to do anything but wear yoga pants and a cute sweatshirt? You’re in luck; because that’s exactly what you should wear to this—time to sport those new Adidas you’ve had for months now.
9. Where do you park?
Luckily enough, once you park in the PPL Center deck right off of 7th street and Linden you don’t even need to leave the building—just follow the signs to the 5th Floor Ballroom to check in. And did you know parking is free on Sundays? Score.
10. Are children allowed?
Ages 16 and older, please.
